Summary: In this letter Jackie Robinson is responding to Nixon's disinterest in the struggle for black equality. Robinson is angered that Nixon would ignore him and he warns against a new generation of discontent.
Significance: This is significant because it shows that Nixon had primary interest in other issues, such as spying on the democrats. Nixon had much resentment against him in minority communities and his inability to respond personally to Robinson mirrors that he was not worried about potential problems that ignoring black issues could lead to. -Kelsey O. Summary: This polical cartoon shows the government taping and violating a man who resembles american privacy. In the background it shows symbols of secrecy with phrases of "Mum is the word" and "wiretapping and bugging" sash worn by the man resembling the US.
Significance: this picture is result of the Watergate scandal, showing that the Nixon had the right to violate american privacy due to "executive right" as president. The government had power to wire tap and listen to peoples conversation not only because of the Watergate but also from the Department of Homeland Security. -Natalie M. |
The job pictures of the past presidents shows what works in order of putting jobs back into the markets. The Clinton administration put jobs back on track as he was able to take some control and stabilize the economy. It also shows that the United States is not where it used to be on the facts of our economic shaping.
-Chris S. The document states that abortion statues infringe upon Ninth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. It then reiterates that statement by explicating that it a woman’s own right to terminate her pregnancy and that the Court does have a legitimate interest in protecting human life. Its significance lies in its advocation of the rights of women. Feminists were extremely happy that the Court acknowledged their right to determine what happens to their bodies.
